Mental Health Matters

When we talk about mental health, we often think only about thoughts, feelings, or stress. But the body plays a huge role too.

One example? The Moro Reflex. This is a primitive reflex we’re all born with - it’s designed to help babies survive by reacting strongly to sudden changes. Normally, it fades away in the first months of life.

But if the Moro reflex is retained, it can keep the nervous system in a constant state of alert.

That means:

⚡ Feeling overly anxious or panicky

⚡ Difficulty regulating emotions

⚡ Being startled easily

⚡ Trouble with focus and sleep

⚡ Heightened sensitivity to noise, light, or touch

For a child (or even an adult), living with an overactive stress response feels exhausting. And no amount of “just calm down” advice can fix it - because the body is wired for survival, not calm.

The good news is: Through simple, targeted movement exercises, the Moro reflex can be integrated.

🎧 When combined with support for auditory and sensory processing, nutrition, and mindset - the whole picture starts to shift.

Holistic approaches like this don’t just “manage” symptoms, they address the root causes, giving children and adults the foundations for emotional resilience.

Mental health really does matter - and by looking beneath the surface, we can make lasting changes.
